Smiling back

Interesting how much difference locale can make. I went for a wander up around Arthur's Seat (windy) to take some photos. I tend to smile when I meet people's eyes - many years in customer service - and there's very few that smile back. So much so that it's something quite noteworthy. Parks and hills and things make such a difference, though. Most everybody smiles back - you even (amazingly!) get a few people who say 'hello'.

Pleasant evening last night. Conversation and a glass of two or wine in good company. Off out to Holyrood Tavern tonight for farewell drinks to Tom and Katie who are off to New Zealand forever and all.
