Lies - all lies!!!
Honestly, what do some people think? That we sit here, at our desks, with 'reception' and (here's the key one) 'information' on little signs with the express purpose of lying to them.
It's Wednesday, you see, on which day we are only open in the afternoon, from 12pm. Even though the door is shut and the opening times are on the door, the Little Student People (who can't read, it seems) knock, or just walk in. We tell them, "We are closed until twelve," and then then look at the opening hours - to try and catch us out? One even came back in, clutching the leaflet of the opening hours and stating, "It says here, 'Monday to Friday, 9:30 till..." (at this point he came across the hours marked 'Wednesday'. "Oh. Oh, right. I see. OK."
Sheepish exit on his part.
I mean - WHY would we lie to them? What exact purpose would this achieve?
Grrrrrrr.
