I'm getting my wish
Or at least, my formulation.
I was reading over past posts and found one bitching about those people who consistently blog about how wonderful all their wonderful is.
Life is not wonderful just now. That said, it's not shit either. I still have my well-paid job, my nice flat, my affectionate and respectful friends. The cat's still a demanding little fecker, but she is also very cute.
Family remain family. Only more so. Take from that what you should.

It's very nearly the Wedding of the Year. Gregor and Caroline, dear friends, tying the knot. They've asked me both to usher (no, not the twat with the sticking plaster) and to do a reading. I wrote the reading, and have already made Caroline cry so I figure job done. :)
And I have a nephew since last I wrote. I think. Definitely got a nephew (in the best-pal of mum, so therefore counts as uncle sense), just not sure if it's since last I wrote.
He is the very cute and I made him smile no less than four times on Saturday. He's a delight. And he's past the 'not crying is a victory' stage, which is nice. So big, though. Already. Soon I'll be pointing his parents in the other direction so I can get him to the bog to throw up what he's drunk without their noticing.
I look forward to it. Well. Maybe not the puke. But the rest of it for sure.

See, I made it a deliberate policy when I started blogging to only talk about positive shit, the theory being that it was intended to keep people back home reassured. "I don’t want them to worry, therefore this has to be positive, therefore in order to be authentic what I experience and choose to write about must be positive, and finally ergo the life I’m experiencing needs be a good one."
Not saying it worked, but I do think blogging has helped me develop a more optimistic and sunny disposition. Of course, there's a lot of negative stuff that gets filtered out, which is strictly speaking dishonest I suppose.
Do you have copy writer for so good articles? If so please give me contacts, because this really rocks! :)
